Tricky questions!

Tricky questions! can you answer them?

. Last year, a cruise ship sank in the middle of the Pacific. Evey single passenger on the ship drowned but only four survived. How's that possible?
What goes up and down, but still remains in the same place?

There is a river. On one side (say side A) a man is standing with a Bengal tiger, a goat, and a bunch of grass. The man has to transport each of them to the other side (say side B) of the river on a boat. Now, the boat can carry one item at a time along with the man. How will he do it? Remember that, the tiger can kill the goat if not attended by the man, and the goat can eat the grass, when left alone.

Fun Cycling !! J,Y

When I  was at the cycling skills day I liked it  when I was learning
the cycling skills. The easiest thing that you had to do was pass the cones. You had to go really slow.
I did it and I came first. That was not good! I needed to be last to win the game.
We did fun things.^^

Cycling Day H.D

''Ye ya'' My bike is riding so fast I can't believe it .''Am I doing it right! Yes.'' It felt like I was riding a horse, but with pedals. Maggie was telling us basic stuff, but all the things were very important. I tasted victory because I listened well but somethings we got told I did not know. At the end we played a fun game. I did not win any of the games we played . It's because I was riding fast like a Cheetah.

HC Cycle Moments

"Are you ready there? Are your brakes working? Good, now!"I feel the breeze passing behind as I dash past the cone. I can hear my brake squishing my back wheel as I come to a stop.I can smell my tyres burning because I'm riding rapidly fast. I see Mrs Foot taking a photo so I slow down so the photo looks better than ever. I like Mrs Foot to get my good side.

A MOMENT IN TIME (BIKE SAFETY)

I did it! I finally did it! "I learnt to ride a bike while doing hand signals '.
Look Nathan, I bet you can't do this yet!"
I had the taste of success in my mouth .
I could feel the wind rushing past me as, I rode onwards around the netball court ,I could smell warm rubber tyres burning up the concrete, I could see the yellow markings zooming past me.
I could hear my mum cheering me on. I could taste victorious sweat from me peddling so fast on this hot day. .

                                                         THE END!

cicle safty K.R

" RIGHT " yelled Maggie.
" Follow me , don't get too close and NO overtaking! Do you understand? " She asked. " Yes !" We all shouted loudly.
I felt as nervous as a duck crossing the road!!!!!!!!!!!I heard people singing songs.
" Follow the leader, leader, leader follow the leader!!!!!"
I tasted salty hot sweat! Ewwwwwwwwwww!!!

I was determined not to crash. My heart was pounding and my back was on fire.

"HOT HOT HOT" I yelled.

Moment in Time C.Y.

Moment in Time
"I did it Mrs Foot, look, look at me!  I'm riding a bike.  Whoo!  Yeah!"  I felt excited, I didn't expect I could learn how to ride a bike!  I tried to pose when Mrs Foot asked me to pose for the camera.  "Cheese!" I zoomed as fast as I could and, "Cheese!"  "Again?" I thought, I started to wiggle.  I could hear people cheering for me,"Don't stop!" Anna shouted.  I tell myself " I won't fall in front of everyone!" I go around and around the netball court and I didn't fall of!  YEAH!......  WHOO!......  I did it, I did it, I can't believe myself!!!!!  I'm a lucky star!

A moment in time! bike saftey! LC

"Ha,ha"I  get  to go on the bike treat !

I felt the nice breeze of the slow, soft wind!

I  kept  on smelling fear in my legs and  trying not to show it!

I  heard Maggie say! "You can go and  take the treat !" I felt  so amazed  when she said I could go on the ride!

It was hard when we had  to face back as well as to open our arms!

Now I  know how to ride a bike with my  arm out!

"Don't  ride too close to the cones pretend as if it was the  road"Maggie shouted across the courts.

I coulld feel the bike wobbling as I started to pedal. As I listened carefully I could hear myself

panting 'Uh...huh...uh...huh...uh...huh'.My eyes were glued on the cones, trying to not knock

them over. The smell of sand drifted past my face as we peddled around the sandpit. The sweat off my fore-head dripped past my nose and all the way to my mouth while we ended our tution.

Moment of time! L.S

"W-woooaaah!!" I mumbled. "Okay L.S you can do this, just put your shaking feet on the pedals, and then..... VWALLA! You've done it! So go ahead try." I told myself nevously. I pushed off with my feet and suddenly..... ZOOM! I was calmly, balanced and darting through the air like a cheetah. I tasted fabulous, fantastic victory! While I was steering I could hear Mrs Foot and all of my friends cheer me on and yelling,"Come on Lara, you can do it!" I smiled uncontrollably and

MOMENT OF TIME By M.H

''Clap!Yay, finally I high fived A.Y without crushing over those bright and colourful cones.''
I felt proud and very excited.
My noisy classmates counting me were ;yabbering like a flock of of seagulls searching for food.
I could taste sweet success.
My pitch black eyes could see the next two children zooming for each other. They were like two gigantic bulls colliding.

A Moment In Time J.M.S

"All right guys we're down one point, lets get it done!" Coach commanded.
My heart was pounding like a drum in a parade.
Little drips of water flicked up into my mouth.
As I dribbled down the pitch, I noticed that the goal was right in front of me, it was taunting my with horror. Butterflies in my stomach wern't helping.
I could taste sweet victory just moments away....
BOOF!!!!!! Woo Hoo! GOAL!
And the crowd went wild.

cycling day B.C

"Look I'm riding a bike! Woo hoo I'm really doing it. It is so much fun. " When I zoomed I was peddling at the same time. I was going so fast. When I was riding my bike I heard people behind me riding their bikes and I also felt my handle bars. When I was riding I could smell my bike tyres burning. When I was riding my bike I did eye contact in front of me. When I was riding I had a big smile on my face.

Thursday 22 May 2014

"Yes I'm winning, just don't put your foot down, or bump into anyone or go outside the boundaries." I worried to myself. I could hear determination whispering in my ear. Smiling but striving to win, I decided to keep it together, to beat the hardworking coach.....MAGGIE!...
"Don't do that you will make me fall of." I got distracted and suddenly......."Woow woow,oh nuts you won Maggie." I hear people laughing but I didn't take it the wrong way because they were being kind and I didn't care, I had already won twice.

Cycle Skills KK

"Alright, is everybody ready for a game?" Maggie wondered.
"Yeah!" Everyone screamed.
"Let's go!"
Maggie split us up into 2 groups. I was in group 1.
I could feel my sweat dribbling down my back and tickling mt spine.
I couls feel my heart pumping as loud as a lions roar.
I couls smell burnt, fresh rubber from our steaming, hot wheels.
I could hear tyres here and there and gears changing from one to two.
And, within half a second I was off!

Text Box: A poem for the best mum in the world
Zooming down the road endeavouring to deliver her… ‘pain in the backside’ children to school.
Hovering over the trained, excellent nurse, to see if my stuffed up chest was clear.
Driving on the weekend to the shops so we won’t starve, rather than having a brilliant time at our lovely, warm house.
Cheering- on her lovely but crazy daughter, at a tiring and breath taking 600 metre race.
Dodging the other pretty tall teams so she can be ready to launch the ball back towards me.
Paying for all the luxury holidays we get to have a super time on.
And the most important thing of all is… that I love you lots and lots!
Love from your loving and caring daughter

Room 20 students have written Super mum poems because we think our mums are pretty cool.
My mummy
Gliding glamorously over the toy-littered carpet, scooping items as she goes.
Dodging grocery shopping to get home and make dinner!
Killing threatening traffic like it’s a horrible joke.
Battling bubbling dust bunnies and revolting rotten toilets.
Assisting me with my horrible homework and getting it done in a                                                     flash!!

K R xx

Mum

Soars through the household making the floor absolutely spotless while keeping the kids entertained.
Confronts her annoying friend while obliterating dust bunnies.
Wrestles dirty clothes while trying to read a book.
Raids the stuffed-up pantry while trying to pour a jug of orange juice.
Vaults over our messy lego characters’ to give us bandages.

I love you Mum.
JS xx

Mum

Attacking annoying little insects moving around and around our house.
Zooming to the supermarket to buy cheap things for a delicious dinner.
Tip-toeing through our rooms to the toilet and not disturbing us.
Leaping over all of my toys without breaking them, not a single one!
Wrestling the dirt on my teeth that makes my teeth bad.
I love you mum.
You’re the BEST!

                       Mum you’re a superhero

-         Fights her battling boss to stay home with me when I’m sick.

-         Zooms through the chaotic crowd at the shops to find me, and wrestles me away from the totally amazing toys!

-         Vaults through crunching leaves to start mowing the long, tall, green grass.

-         Leaps around the house with the very noisy vacuum, singing away to herself.

-         Wishes that she could zap all the crazy cars so she can zoom me to my awesome dancing on time.

I love you Wonder mum! You’re a Superhero!

SB

Mum
Gliding through horrific traffic with her kids making noise noisier than thunder as she zooms to work so she isn’t late.
Fights irreplaceable dust bunnies and commands them to get out of the cupboard once and for all.
Raids the tough, metal tin cans to find the right one for her and for her kids so they can have a spectacular lunch.
Battles the hot day so her kids can have a terrific day playing their favourite sport rugby and winning magnificently against other teams.
Attacks the icky, bloody scraps with a nice soft, fluffy bandage around the scrap.
WC

Mum
Hurtles over her annoying boss to rescue me from my sickness so I don’t affect other people.
Bounding through the horrible traffic to deliver me to school and be on time for important appointments.

Soaring to the supermarket to buy ingredients for cheap, delicious food to cook for the whole family.
